Display shows E7 and the door alarm sounds even when the door is closed

Steps to address E7:

• Check door alignment: Ensure the door closes fully and the gasket makes uniform contact. Adjust leveling feet so the door self-closes.
• Locate the door sensor: Bosch wine coolers typically use a magnetic reed switch in the cabinet frame and a magnet in the door.
• Test the magnet: Slowly close the door and listen for the interior light turning off. If it stays on, the sensor is not detecting the magnet.
• Inspect components: Check that the door magnet is present and not loose. Inspect the reed switch housing for cracks or displacement.
• Electrical test: With power off, remove the reed switch and test continuity with a multimeter while bringing a magnet close. If it does not open/close properly, replace the door switch.
• Check wiring to control board: Ensure the door switch wires are intact and firmly connected to the main PCB.
