Steps:

• Manual defrost: Turn off and unplug the unit. Leave the door open until all ice melts. Use towels to absorb water. Do not use sharp tools to remove ice.
• Check door sealing: Inspect the gasket for gaps, tears, or hardened sections. Replace if it does not seal uniformly.
• Inspect defrost components: Remove the rear interior panel and visually inspect the defrost heater and sensor. Test both with a multimeter and replace any open components.
• Reduce door openings: Minimize how often and how long the door is opened, especially in humid environments.
