Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the door switch or control board.

Steps:

• Check for light leakage: In a dark room, look for light escaping around the door when closed. This confirms the light is on.
• Inspect magnet and switch: Ensure the door magnet is present and aligned with the reed switch in the frame. Adjust if necessary.
• Test reed switch: Remove the switch and test continuity with and without a magnet. Replace if it does not change state correctly.
• Control board check: If the switch is good but the light remains on, the control board may have a stuck output and should be replaced.
