Possible Causes

Clogged condensate drain hole, Disconnected or kinked drain tube, Excessive humidity and frequent door openings, Cracked drain pan

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before working inside or behind it. Wipe up any standing water to prevent slipping.

Steps:

  • Locate drain hole: Inside the cabinet, find the small drain hole at the rear (often just above the compressor area).
  • Clear blockage: Use a soft pipe cleaner or flexible plastic rod to gently clear any debris or mold from the drain hole.
  • Check drain tube and pan: From the rear, inspect the drain tube leading to the evaporator pan above the compressor. Ensure it is not kinked or disconnected. Verify the pan is not cracked.
  • Level the unit: Adjust leveling feet so water flows toward the drain and not out the door.
