Display shows E8 and the unit may shut down or not respond to controls.

Steps to address E8 communication faults:

• 1. Power cycle: Unplug the cooler for 10 minutes, then reconnect. If E8 reappears immediately, proceed with inspection.
• 2. Access control panel: Remove the top trim or front control panel screws. Carefully pull the panel forward to expose the ribbon cable or wiring harness.
• 3. Check connections: Ensure the ribbon cable between the user interface board and main PCB is fully seated and not damaged. Reseat both ends.
• 4. Inspect for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or liquid damage on the control PCB. Dry gently with a soft cloth and allow time to air dry completely.
• 5. Visual inspection of boards: Check for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or corrosion on both the control panel PCB and main control board.
• 6. Replace faulty board: If reseating cables does not resolve the issue, replace the user interface board first (most common). If E8 persists, the main control board may also need replacement.
• 7. Reassemble and test: Refit the control panel, restore power, and verify that all buttons respond and the error code is cleared.
