Possible Causes
Incorrect temperature setting, Faulty temperature sensor reading low, Stuck relay on main PCB causing continuous cooling, Ambient temperature too low for proper regulation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before opening panels if deeper checks are needed.
Steps to address H2 low temperature alarm:
- 1. Check set temperature: Verify that the setpoint is not too low for wine storage. Adjust to the recommended range and monitor.
- 2. Ambient conditions: If the cooler is installed in a very cold room (e.g., unheated garage), the control system may overcool. Relocate to a room within Brandt's specified ambient range.
- 3. Sensor check: If the display shows an unrealistically low temperature, the cabinet NTC sensor may be faulty. See the E1 procedure for testing and replacement.
- 4. Control board relay: If the compressor runs almost continuously regardless of setpoint, the compressor relay on the main PCB may be stuck closed. This requires PCB replacement.
- 5. Clear alarm: Once the temperature returns to normal, the H2 alarm should clear automatically. If it does not, further sensor or control board diagnosis is needed.
