Possible Causes
Door left open, power interruption causing temperature rise, failed fan or compressor, blocked air vents inside cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before moving shelves or bottles if you will be accessing internal panels.
AL is a general alarm indicating that the temperature has deviated significantly from the setpoint.
- Step 1 – Confirm door is closed: Ensure the door is fully closed and the gasket is sealing. Remove any items blocking closure.
- Step 2 – Check for recent events: If there was a power outage or the door was open for stocking, clear the alarm and allow several hours for temperature recovery.
- Step 3 – Verify airflow: Make sure bottles are not pressed tightly against the rear wall or blocking internal air vents. Rearrange bottles to allow air circulation.
- Step 4 – Inspect fans and compressor: Listen for the evaporator fan inside and the condenser fan and compressor at the rear. If any are not running when cooling is needed, refer to the specific fan or compressor fault procedures.
- Step 5 – Monitor with a thermometer: Use an independent thermometer to verify actual temperature. If the alarm persists despite normal operation, the temperature sensor or control board may be misreading and require service.
Persistent AL alarms with normal temperatures should be evaluated by a technician.
