Possible Causes
Failed relay on main control board, corrupted control logic, faulty temperature sensor reading too cold, stuck control lock or incorrect mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing the control board or sensors.
- Step 1 – Verify temperature setting: Ensure the setpoint is below room temperature and that the unit is not in a demo or showroom mode (if applicable).
- Step 2 – Check for error codes: Look for any codes on the display and address them first.
- Step 3 – Test temperature sensor: If the sensor reads falsely cold, the board will not energize the compressor. Test the cabinet thermistor and replace if out of spec.
- Step 4 – Inspect main control board: Remove the rear panel and examine the board for burnt relay contacts or damaged traces. Lightly tap the relay area (with power disconnected) to check for loose components.
- Step 5 – Replace main control board: If the sensor is good and the board still does not send power to the compressor or fans, replace the Café-compatible main control board.
After replacement, set the desired temperature and monitor for proper cycling.
