Possible Causes
Child lock function enabled, Stuck or faulty touch key, Control PCB misinterpreting key presses
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal repair is needed for normal lock operation. Only unplug if removing the control panel.
Steps to clear L1:
- Unlock sequence: On many Caple wine coolers, press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons together for 3–5 seconds, or hold the dedicated lock icon button until the L1 indicator disappears. Refer to your specific model's user manual if this does not work.
- Clean touch panel: Wipe the glass or plastic control surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove residues that may cause false touches. Dry thoroughly.
- Power reset: If the lock will not clear, unplug the cooler for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try the unlock sequence again.
- Check for stuck keys: If certain buttons do not respond or appear permanently pressed, the touch control PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
Note: If the lock re-engages randomly without user input, moisture or a failing control panel is likely; consider replacing the user interface PCB.
