Possible Causes
Defective cabinet NTC sensor, Broken or oxidized NTC wiring harness, NTC connector loose on main control board, Main PCB temperature sensing circuit fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Climadiff wine cooler from the mains before removing any panels. Do not work on live circuits.
- Access the sensor: Open the cabinet and locate the temperature probe (NTC) usually clipped to the evaporator plate or mounted on the rear inner wall behind a small plastic cover.
- Inspect wiring: Check the NTC cable for cuts, pinches, or rodent damage. Ensure the plug is firmly seated on the main PCB (usually behind the rear or lower service panel).
- Test the NTC: With a multimeter set to resistance, measure the sensor at room temperature. Typical Climadiff NTCs are in the 5–10 kΩ range at ~25°C (consult the service sheet if available). An open circuit (OL) or 0 Ω indicates a bad sensor.
- Check the connector and board: Clean any oxidation on the NTC connector with contact cleaner. Reseat the connector on the control board.
- Replace if faulty: If resistance is out of spec or intermittent when you gently flex the cable, replace the cabinet NTC sensor with a compatible Climadiff probe. Route the new cable along the original path and secure it away from moving parts and sharp edges.
- Power up and test: Reassemble panels, plug the unit back in, clear the error by power-cycling, and monitor temperature and display for at least 30–60 minutes.
