How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the rear service panel.
- Inspect the fan: Remove the rear panel and locate the condenser fan near the compressor and condenser coil. Check for dust, plastic wrap, or other debris blocking the blades.
- Spin test: Turn the fan blades by hand. They should rotate freely without grinding. If stiff or seized, the motor is likely faulty.
- Check wiring: Ensure the fan connector is firmly seated on the harness and that no wires are cut or melted.
- Electrical test: Measure continuity of the fan motor. Replace the fan if open or shorted.
- Replace fan assembly: Install a new condenser fan motor with the correct bracket and blade orientation. Secure wiring away from hot or moving parts.
- Test operation: Restore power and verify that the fan starts when the compressor runs and that the E7 code disappears.
