Possible Causes

Door left open or not sealing, Failed compressor or low refrigerant charge, Condenser blocked or fan not running, Temperature sensor reading abnormally high

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Ensure the unit is in a well-ventilated area. If you smell burning, unplug immediately.

  • Check door and gasket: Make sure the door closes fully and the gasket seals all around. Look for warped doors or torn gaskets and replace if needed.
  • Verify ventilation: Confirm that the rear and sides have adequate clearance and that grilles are not blocked.
  • Inspect condenser and fan: Clean dust from the condenser coil and ensure the condenser fan runs when the compressor is on.
  • Monitor compressor: Listen and feel for the compressor running. If it is silent or cycles off quickly, there may be a compressor or control fault.
  • Check sensor plausibility: Compare displayed temperature with an independent thermometer inside the cabinet. If the display is much higher than actual, suspect a sensor issue (see E1/E2).
  • Allow recovery: After correcting airflow or door issues, allow 12–24 hours for the temperature to stabilize. The H1 alarm should clear automatically once the setpoint is reached.
