• Evaporator frost pattern: If accessible, inspect the evaporator. A small patch of ice only near the inlet often indicates low refrigerant.
• Thermoelectric models: On Peltier-based Climadiff units, check that the hot-side heatsink and fan are warm and that the cold-side plate is cool. If not, the Peltier module may be defective.
• Professional repair: For sealed-system issues (compressor, refrigerant, capillary), contact a qualified refrigeration technician. For Peltier modules, the module and heatsink assembly can often be replaced as a unit.
