Possible Causes
Failed NTC sensor in affected zone, Broken harness between zone sensor and control board, Moisture intrusion at sensor connector, Faulty zone input on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing interior panels.
Steps:
- Identify affected zone: Note whether F1 appears on the upper or lower display. Work in that compartment.
- Access zone sensor: Remove the interior rear or side panel in the affected zone to locate the zone temperature sensor.
- Inspect and test: Check for damage to the sensor tip or wiring. Test resistance at room temperature; replace if open/shorted.
- Replace sensor: Install a new NTC sensor for the affected zone and route wiring as originally installed.
- Control board: If a new sensor does not clear F1, the main control board may have a defective zone channel.
