Possible Causes
Stuck relay on main control board, Shorted temperature sensor reading too warm, Control board calibration error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before accessing internal components.
Steps:
- Verify set temperature: Confirm the setpoint is appropriate for wine (typically 40–65°F / 5–18°C). Adjust upward and monitor.
- Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes to reset the control. If L1 returns and the unit continues to overcool, proceed.
- Check sensors: Inspect and test the cabinet temperature sensor for correct resistance. A sensor reading too high will cause the unit to overcool.
- Inspect control board: Look for a stuck or welded compressor relay on the main control board. If the compressor runs even when the set temperature is reached, replace the board.
