Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Obstructed fan blade, Loose fan wiring, Control board fan output failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before accessing the rear compartment.
- Access condenser fan: Remove the rear service panel to expose the condenser fan near the compressor and condenser coil.
- Inspect fan blade: Check for debris, wires, or insulation blocking the fan. Remove any obstructions.
- Spin test: Rotate the fan blade by hand. If stiff or seized, replace the fan motor.
- Check wiring: Ensure the fan’s connector is fully seated on the control board and wires are intact.
- Replace fan motor: Install a Danby-compatible condenser fan motor if the original is not running when the compressor is on.
- Control board: If a known-good fan does not receive power, the main control PCB may be defective and require replacement.
