Possible Causes

Open-circuit cabinet thermistor, Broken sensor wire, Disconnected sensor plug, Failed control board sensor input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before testing the sensor.

  • Access sensor: Remove interior shelves and the rear liner panel to reach the cabinet thermistor.
  • Check connection: Ensure the sensor plug is firmly connected to the harness. Reseat it.
  • Test continuity: Measure resistance across the sensor leads. Infinite resistance indicates an open sensor; replace it with a Danby-compatible thermistor.
  • Inspect harness: If the sensor tests good, check the harness from the sensor to the control board for breaks or loose connectors.
  • Replace control board: If wiring and sensor are intact but Hi persists, replace the main control PCB.
