Possible Causes

Stuck-closed relay on control board, Shorted temperature sensor, Thermostat calibration error, Control board logic fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the control board or sensors.

  • Verify setpoint: Confirm the set temperature is not accidentally set too low. Adjust to recommended wine storage temperature (typically 10–14°C / 50–57°F).
  • Power reset: Unplug for 10 minutes, then plug back in to clear any temporary control glitch.
  • Check cabinet sensor: Access the interior rear panel and locate the cabinet thermistor. Inspect for damage and test resistance. A shorted sensor can cause overcooling; replace if out of spec.
  • Inspect control board: If the compressor runs constantly even when the interior is very cold, the compressor relay on the main PCB may be stuck closed. Replace the main control PCB.
  • Monitor after repair: After replacing sensor or board, verify that the compressor cycles off when the set temperature is reached and that the L1 alarm clears.
