Possible Causes
Burned-out LED module or bulb, Faulty door switch, Loose light wiring, Failed light driver on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before working on the light or switch.
- Check door switch: Locate the door switch (mechanical plunger or magnetic reed). Manually actuate it and see if the light flickers. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
- Inspect light assembly: Remove the light cover inside the cabinet. Check for loose connections or visible damage to the LED module.
- Replace light module: Install a Danby-compatible LED light assembly if the original is burned out.
- Wiring check: Trace the light wires back toward the control board for any breaks or loose connectors.
- Control board: If the switch and light module are good but no power reaches the light, the control board’s light driver may have failed and the board should be replaced.
