Possible Causes
Failed LED light module, Loose light connector, Faulty light driver on PCB, Short circuit in light wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing light covers or trims. LED drivers can carry high voltage.
E14 indicates a problem with the interior lighting circuit on some De Dietrich wine coolers.
- Check basic operation: Open and close the door to see if the light responds. Confirm that the light is not disabled via a control setting.
- Inspect the LED module: Remove the light cover inside the cabinet. Look for burn marks or water ingress on the LED strip or module.
- Check connections: Ensure the light connector is firmly attached and that wires are not damaged.
- Test with a known-good module: If available, temporarily connect a compatible LED module to see if the fault clears. If it does, replace the original module.
- Board driver fault: If the LED module is good but never receives power, the light driver circuit on the main PCB may be defective, requiring board replacement.
- Reassemble and test: After replacing the faulty component, restore power and verify stable light operation and that E14 is cleared.
