Possible Causes
Stuck-open compressor relay on PCB, Burnt relay contacts, Broken solder joint on relay pins, Control logic failure on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Danger: High voltage is present on the compressor circuit. Only qualified persons should test live circuits. Always unplug before visual inspection.
E19 indicates that the control board cannot correctly switch the compressor on.
- Listen for relay click: When cooling is requested, you should hear a click from the control board area. No click suggests a relay or control issue.
- Inspect the PCB: Remove the board and look for heat discoloration around the compressor relay and cracked solder joints.
- Resolder or replace: If you see cracked joints and are competent with soldering, you may reflow them. Otherwise, replace the entire control board.
- Check compressor wiring: Ensure the compressor harness is firmly connected and not burnt.
- Re-test: After repair or replacement, restore power and verify that the compressor starts and that E19 is cleared.
