Possible Causes

Safety: Unplug the cooler before removing the control panel.

Dry the panel: If moisture is suspected, leave the door open and allow the panel to dry for several hours.
Reseat ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and reseat the ribbon cable between the keypad PCB and display/control PCB.
