Possible Causes
Failed ambient NTC sensor near air intake, Sensor wiring harness damage, Loose connector at control board, Main control PCB sensor circuit fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before servicing.
- Locate ambient sensor: On many Della Marta models, the ambient sensor is mounted near the front grille or rear air intake, often behind a small plastic cover.
- Clean and inspect: Remove dust and debris around the sensor. Check that the sensor body is intact and not broken off.
- Check wiring: Follow the sensor wires to the main control PCB. Look for pinched or cut insulation, especially where the wires pass through metal panels.
- Reseat connector: Unplug the sensor connector from the control board and reconnect it firmly.
- Replace sensor: If E3 persists and the sensor measures open/short, install a new ambient NTC sensor compatible with Della Marta wine coolers.
