Possible Causes
Failed evaporator fan motor, Fan blade jammed by ice or debris, Loose fan wiring connector, Main control PCB fan driver failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before working near the fan.
- Access fan: Remove interior shelves and the rear interior panel to expose the evaporator fan assembly.
- Check for obstructions: Spin the fan blade by hand. Remove any ice, labels, or wiring that may be blocking it.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the fan motor connector is fully seated and wires are not damaged.
- Test fan: With the unit unplugged, measure resistance across the fan motor leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- Replace fan motor: If defective, install a new Della Marta evaporator fan motor assembly. Transfer the fan blade if necessary and secure the motor with original screws.
