Possible Causes
Open circuit between upper and lower zone control boards, failed zone temperature sensor, defective zone control PCB, wiring harness damage between zones
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing any interior or rear panels.
Steps:
- Identify zones: On dual-zone Dometic wine coolers, each zone may have its own sensor and sometimes its own control board or driver.
- Check harness between zones: Inspect the wiring that runs between the upper and lower compartments (often behind interior panels or along the side walls). Look for pinched or disconnected plugs.
- Test zone sensors: Measure resistance of the upper and lower zone NTC sensors. Replace any sensor that is open, shorted, or out of expected range.
- Inspect zone board: Some models have a separate zone control PCB for the secondary compartment. Check for burnt components or corrosion. Replace if damaged.
- Reassemble and test: After repairing wiring or replacing sensors/boards, restore power and verify that both zones cool and that E10 is cleared.
