• Test switch: Disconnect the switch and test continuity with a multimeter while opening and closing the door (or moving a magnet near the reed). Replace the switch if it does not change state.
• Inspect wiring: Follow the switch wires back to the control board. Repair any breaks or loose connectors.
• Control board: If the switch and wiring are good but E7 persists, the door input circuit on the main control PCB may be faulty and the board will need replacement.
