Possible Causes
Failed evaporator fan with tachometer feedback, blocked fan blades, wiring fault in fan feedback line, defective fan driver on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before touching the fan or wiring.
Steps:
- Inspect fan: Access the interior fan and check that it spins freely. Remove any ice or debris.
- Check wiring: Ensure the multi-wire connector to the fan (including feedback wire) is fully seated and not corroded.
- Replace fan: If the fan does not run when powered or the tachometer signal is missing, install a new evaporator fan motor (with tach feedback).
- Control board: If a new fan does not clear F4, the fan driver or feedback circuit on the main control PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
