Possible Causes
Cabinet temperature actually below minimum range, sensor out of calibration, sensor shorted, control board misinterpreting sensor signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or control boards.
Steps:
- Verify actual temperature: Place an accurate thermometer inside the cabinet to confirm the real temperature. If it is indeed very low, raise the set temperature and ensure the door is sealing properly.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet temperature sensor is properly clipped and not touching the evaporator directly, which can cause it to read too cold.
- Inspect sensor and wiring: Look for damaged insulation or moisture on the sensor. Dry any condensation and secure the sensor away from direct airflow if necessary.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance and compare to expected NTC values. Replace the sensor if readings are incorrect.
- Control board: If the sensor is good but the display still shows "Lo" at normal temperatures, the main control PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
