Possible Causes
Blocked condenser airflow, Extremely dirty condenser coils, Failed condenser fan motor, Unit installed in excessively hot environment
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before cleaning or accessing the rear compartment. Coils and compressor may be hot.
Steps:
- 1. Check installation: Ensure adequate clearance around the wine cooler per Electrolux specifications. Do not enclose tightly in cabinetry without ventilation.
- 2. Clean condenser coils: Remove the rear access panel and use a soft brush and vacuum to remove dust and lint from the condenser coils and surrounding area.
- 3. Verify condenser fan operation: With power restored briefly, confirm that the condenser fan runs whenever the compressor runs. If not, unplug and test/replace the fan motor.
- 4. Reduce ambient temperature: If the unit is in a garage or near an oven, relocate it to a cooler, more stable environment.
Note: If E15 persists after cleaning and ensuring proper airflow, the overheat sensor or control board may be faulty and should be evaluated by a technician.
