Possible Causes
Failed humidity sensor, Disconnected or damaged sensor harness, Condensation damage to sensor, Faulty sensor input on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing internal sensors.
Steps:
- 1. Locate humidity sensor: On models with humidity control, the sensor is often mounted on an interior wall or near the evaporator cover.
- 2. Inspect sensor: Check for visible corrosion, water damage, or broken wires.
- 3. Reseat connector: Disconnect and reconnect the sensor plug to ensure good contact.
- 4. Replace sensor: If E18 persists, replace the humidity sensor with the correct Electrolux part.
Note: If replacing the sensor does not clear the error, the main control board may be defective and should be serviced by a professional.
