Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Obstruction by dust or debris, Loose fan wiring connector, Faulty main control board fan output
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before accessing the rear compartment. Condenser coils and compressor may be hot.
Steps:
- 1. Access rear compartment: Remove the lower rear access panel to expose the condenser fan and coils.
- 2. Inspect fan: Check if the fan blade is jammed by debris, zip ties, or wiring. Clear any obstruction and ensure the blade spins freely by hand.
- 3. Clean condenser: Use a soft brush or vacuum to remove dust from the condenser coils and fan area. Restricted airflow can overheat components.
- 4. Check wiring: Verify that the fan motor connector is fully seated and wires are intact.
- 5. Test fan motor: With power disconnected, measure resistance across the fan leads. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace with the correct Electrolux condenser fan motor if defective.
Note: If the fan motor is good but never receives power when the compressor runs, the main control board may be defective and should be evaluated by a professional.
