Possible Causes
Shorted cabinet temperature sensor, Stuck-closed thermostat relay on control board, Misplaced sensor not sensing true air temperature, Faulty main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or the control board.
Steps:
- 1. Verify set temperature: Confirm the displayed setpoint is appropriate for wine (typically 45–65°F depending on type).
- 2. Check with a thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer inside and compare actual temperature to the display. Large discrepancies indicate sensor/control issues.
- 3. Inspect cabinet sensor: Locate the cabinet NTC sensor on the interior wall or evaporator cover. Ensure it is properly mounted and not touching the evaporator directly unless designed to.
- 4. Replace sensor: If the sensor is suspected faulty (e.g., reading much colder than actual), replace it with the correct Electrolux NTC sensor.
Note: If a new sensor does not correct the overcooling, the main control board's relay may be stuck and should be replaced by a technician.
