Possible Causes
Worn condenser fan motor bearings, Fan blade hitting shroud or wiring, Vibrating compressor mounting, Unit not leveled causing vibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before touching the fan or compressor area.
Steps:
- 1. Level the unit: Use a spirit level and adjust the front leveling legs so the wine cooler is stable and does not rock.
- 2. Access rear compartment: Remove the rear access panel and inspect the condenser fan. Ensure the blade is not rubbing against the shroud or wires; reposition as needed.
- 3. Check fan motor: Spin the blade by hand. If it feels rough or wobbly, replace the Electrolux condenser fan motor.
- 4. Inspect compressor mounts: Ensure rubber grommets under the compressor are intact and that copper lines are not touching the cabinet, which can transmit vibration. Gently bend lines away from contact points.
Note: Some compressor hum is normal, but grinding or metallic noises may indicate internal compressor damage, which requires professional service.
