Possible Causes
Condenser fan failure, Overheated compressor due to blocked airflow, Control board output fault to fan, Severely dirty condenser coil
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before accessing the rear compartment.
CF generally indicates a cooling fault related to the compressor and its fan.
- Step 1 – Check ambient conditions: Ensure the cabinet is not installed in a confined space or against a wall blocking rear ventilation.
- Step 2 – Clean condenser: Remove the rear lower panel and clean the condenser coil thoroughly with a soft brush and vacuum.
- Step 3 – Inspect condenser fan: Confirm the fan spins freely and is not obstructed. Replace the fan motor if seized or noisy.
- Step 4 – Verify fan operation: After reapplying power, observe whether the fan runs whenever the compressor is on. If not, test the fan circuit and replace the fan or control board as needed.
- Step 5 – Monitor temperatures: Allow 12–24 hours for the cabinet to recover. If CF returns and cooling remains poor, a deeper sealed system diagnosis is required.
