Possible Causes

Standing water in drain pan, Clogged condensate drain, Prolonged high humidity inside cabinet, Organic spills on wooden shelves

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before deep cleaning. Use non-abrasive, food-safe cleaners.

  • Step 1 – Empty cabinet: Remove all bottles and shelves. Store wine in a cool, dark place temporarily.
  • Step 2 – Clean interior: Wipe all surfaces with a solution of mild detergent and warm water, followed by a rinse with a diluted vinegar solution to inhibit mold.
  • Step 3 – Clean wooden shelves: Wipe EuroCave wooden shelves with a slightly damp cloth and allow them to dry completely in open air. Do not soak the wood.
  • Step 4 – Check and clean drain: Clear the condensate drain and ensure the drain pan is clean and dry.
  • Step 5 – Improve airflow: Avoid overpacking the cabinet; leave space between bottles for air circulation.
  • Step 6 – Run cabinet empty: After cleaning, run the cabinet empty for 24 hours to dry out, then reload wine.
