Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between display panel and main PCB, Oxidized or damaged connector, Faulty touch control/display PCB, Failed communication circuit on main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the control panel or touching any wiring.

Troubleshooting steps:

  • Access the control panel: Remove the top or front trim as required by your Fagor model. Unscrew and gently pull out the display/touch panel.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Look for kinks, cracks, or discoloration on the flat cable connecting the display to the main board. Ensure it is fully seated in its connector on both ends.
  • Clean connectors: Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust. If accessible, gently wipe contacts with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry completely.
  • Check for moisture: Condensation or liquid spills can damage the panel. Dry the area thoroughly and look for corrosion.
  • Reseat and test: Reconnect the ribbon cable firmly, reassemble loosely, and power on to see if E7 clears and controls respond.
  • Replace display panel: If the error persists and the cable appears intact, replace the Fagor user interface/display PCB.
  • Main board replacement: If a new panel does not resolve the issue, the main control board communication circuit may be defective and require replacement.
