Possible Causes

Stuck or shorted touch key on user interface, Moisture ingress into control panel, Damaged keypad ribbon cable, Faulty user interface PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.

Steps:

  • Dry the panel: If condensation or a spill occurred, wipe the control panel dry and allow it to air-dry for several hours with the unit unplugged.
  • Inspect for physical damage: Look for cracks in the glass or plastic overlay that could allow moisture into the touch sensors.
  • Access the interface PCB: Remove the front/top trim and unscrew the control panel. Inspect the PCB for corrosion, burn marks, or residue.
  • Check ribbon cable: Ensure the cable between the interface and main board is intact and fully seated.
  • Replace user interface PCB: If a specific key appears stuck or the panel is unresponsive, install a new Fagor touch control/user interface board.
  • Main board: If a new interface does not resolve F1, the main control board may be misinterpreting keypad signals and should be replaced.
