Possible Causes
Drifted or inaccurate cabinet NTC sensor, Poor sensor placement or loose mounting, Faulty main control board temperature calibration, Frequent door openings or improper loading
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or control boards.
Steps:
- Verify with a thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer in the center of the cabinet and compare actual temperature to the display over several hours.
- Check loading and airflow: Avoid blocking air vents with bottles. Do not overpack shelves; allow air to circulate.
- Inspect cabinet sensor: Access the interior rear panel and locate the sensor. Ensure it is firmly clipped in place and not dangling or touching the evaporator directly (unless designed to).
- Test sensor: Measure resistance at known temperatures and compare to expected NTC values. Replace if readings are inconsistent.
- Control board replacement: If the sensor is accurate but the control overshoots or undershoots setpoints significantly, the main PCB may have a calibration fault and should be replaced.
