Possible Causes
Loose compressor mounting or tubing vibration, Evaporator or condenser fan blades hitting wiring or panels, Unit not level causing cabinet vibration, Internal components touching cabinet walls
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before adjusting internal components. Avoid contact with moving fan blades.
Steps:
- Level the unit: Use a spirit level and adjust the front leveling feet so the cooler is stable and does not rock.
- Check external vibration: Ensure the cooler is not touching walls, cabinets, or other appliances that can amplify noise.
- Inspect rear area: Remove the rear panel and check that copper tubing is not touching each other or the cabinet. Gently bend tubing away from contact points.
- Check fans: Inspect evaporator and condenser fans for debris or wires contacting the blades. Secure wiring with clips or ties.
- Compressor mounts: Verify that the rubber grommets under the compressor are intact and that mounting bolts are snug but not overtightened.
