Possible Causes
Loose or damaged UI harness, moisture intrusion into control panel, failed touch control board, main PCB communication failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the control panel or display assembly.
Steps to address F8:
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 5–10 minutes to allow the control electronics to fully discharge. Restore power and check if F8 returns.
- Inspect control panel: Examine the front display and touch panel for signs of moisture, condensation, or physical damage. Dry any visible moisture with a soft cloth.
- Access UI board: Remove the trim or screws securing the control panel (usually at the top of the door or inside the cabinet front). Carefully pull the panel forward to expose the user interface board and wiring.
- Check harness connections: Ensure the ribbon cable or harness between the UI board and main PCB is fully seated and not damaged. Reseat both ends.
- Look for corrosion: Inspect the UI board for corrosion, burnt components, or cracked solder joints. If present, replace the user interface board.
- Main PCB evaluation: If a new UI board and harness do not resolve F8, the main control board may be defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
