Possible Causes
Shorted cabinet thermistor, stuck relay on main control board, incorrect sensor placement, control board calibration fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or the control board.
Steps to address:
- Verify setpoint: Confirm the temperature setting is appropriate for wine storage and has not been accidentally lowered.
- Check sensor placement: Ensure the cabinet thermistor is properly mounted in its holder and not directly touching the evaporator coil, which can cause false low readings.
- Test thermistor: Measure resistance and compare to the temperature chart. Replace if readings are incorrect.
- Inspect control board: If the compressor continues to run even when the cabinet is below setpoint and the sensor is good, the compressor relay on the main PCB may be stuck closed. Replace the board.
