Possible Causes
Faulty cabinet thermistor, stuck compressor relay on control board, incorrect temperature setting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing sensors or the control board.
Steps:
- Verify setpoint: Confirm the temperature setting is appropriate for wine (usually 45–65°F). Adjust upward if needed.
- Check with a thermometer: Place an accurate thermometer inside to compare actual temperature to the display. A large difference suggests sensor or control issues.
- Inspect thermistor placement: Ensure the sensor is not directly in the cold air stream or touching the evaporator coil.
- Replace thermistor if faulty: If resistance readings are out of spec, install a new Frigidaire cabinet temperature sensor.
- Control board check: If the compressor runs continuously even when the setpoint is reached, the compressor relay on the control board may be stuck and the board should be replaced.
