Display shows E12 and the humidity function or humidity display does not operate correctly (on models with humidity control).

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before accessing interior panels or the control board.

Steps:

• 1. Identify humidity system: On Gaggenau models with humidity control, locate the humidity sensor (often near the top of the compartment) and any associated humidity cartridge or valve.
• 2. Inspect sensor and wiring: Check for physical damage, corrosion, or loose connectors at the sensor module.
• 3. Test sensor (if specs available): Some humidity sensors can be tested for resistance or voltage output per service data. Replace if readings are out of range.
• 4. Check humidity cartridge/valve: If the model uses a water cartridge or valve, ensure it is installed correctly and not leaking. Replace if clogged or damaged.
• 5. Inspect control board: Verify that the humidity sensor harness is properly connected to the main control. Look for damage in the humidity circuit area.
• 6. Replace faulty parts: Install a new humidity sensor module or cartridge as needed. If the control board is not processing the signal correctly, replace the board.
• 7. Test function: Restore power, clear the error, and verify that humidity readings and control respond over several hours.
