Possible Causes
Loose compressor mounting grommets, Condenser coil touching cabinet, Vibrating copper tubing, Unit not leveled causing resonance
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before reaching into the compressor compartment. Metal edges can be sharp.
Steps:
- 1. Level the appliance: Use a spirit level to ensure the wine cooler is level front-to-back and side-to-side. Adjust leveling feet as needed.
- 2. Inspect compressor mounts: Access the rear compartment and check rubber grommets under the compressor. Replace if cracked or missing.
- 3. Secure tubing: Gently move copper lines away from cabinet walls or each other if they are touching and vibrating. Use foam sleeves or clips to prevent contact.
- 4. Check condenser coil: Ensure the condenser is firmly mounted and not rattling against the frame.
- 5. Test noise: Restore power and listen. Make small adjustments until noise is minimized.
Warning: Do not bend refrigerant lines sharply or apply excessive force; this can cause leaks.
