Safety: Unplug the unit if you will be removing the door or hinges.

• Level the cabinet: Adjust the front leveling legs so the unit is slightly tilted back, helping the door close by gravity.
• Inspect hinges: Check that hinge screws are tight and hinges are not bent. Adjust hinge position to align the door with the cabinet.
• Check gasket: Look for gaps between the gasket and cabinet. Warm the gasket with a hair dryer on low and gently reshape to improve the seal.
• Replace gasket: If the gasket is torn or permanently deformed, replace it with the correct GE door gasket.
