Possible Causes
Failed zone-specific thermistor, stuck air damper (if used), blocked air channel, partial sealed system issue affecting one evaporator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing internal components.
- Compare zones: Note which zone (upper or lower) is not cooling. Verify its set temperature is lower than room temperature.
- Check airflow: Ensure bottles are not blocking vents between zones or at the back wall.
- Test zone thermistor: Access and test the thermistor for the affected zone. Replace if out of specification.
- Inspect damper (if equipped): Some models use a motorized damper to share cold air. Check that the damper door moves freely and the motor operates. Replace if stuck or inoperative.
- Sealed system: If one evaporator coil remains warm while the other frosts normally, a sealed system issue may exist and requires professional service.
