Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between user interface and main board, moisture intrusion into control panel, failed touchpad or display board, defective main control board communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the control panel.
- Access control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control panel or door trim (depending on model) to expose the user interface board and ribbon cable.
- Inspect connections: Ensure the ribbon cable or harness between the display board and main control board is fully seated and not damaged or corroded.
- Dry moisture: If there are signs of condensation or liquid inside the control area, gently dry with a soft cloth and allow the unit to air dry for several hours before reassembly.
- Replace UI board: If buttons do not respond or the display is erratic even with good connections, replace the user interface/display board.
- Main board: If a new UI board does not resolve E7, replace the main control board.
After reassembly, restore power and verify that all buttons respond and the error code is cleared.
