Possible Causes
Unit not level, loose internal components or panels, compressor mounting grommets worn, fan blade hitting wiring or shroud
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before tightening components or accessing fans.
- Level the unit: Use a level to check side-to-side and front-to-back. Adjust the front leveling legs until the cabinet is stable and does not rock.
- Check for contact: Ensure the cabinet is not touching walls or cabinets that can amplify vibration.
- Inspect rear components: Remove the rear panel and check that the condenser fan, compressor, and tubing are not touching each other or the cabinet. Adjust as needed.
- Secure panels: Tighten any loose screws on interior and exterior panels.
- Replace grommets: If the compressor mounting grommets are cracked or missing, replace them to reduce vibration noise.
