• Verify settings: Confirm the temperature is not set too low. Adjust to a higher setpoint and monitor for several hours.
• Power reset: Unplug for 5–10 minutes to reset the control board, then restore power.
• Test thermistor: Access the cabinet thermistor and measure resistance at known temperature. Replace if readings are out of GE’s specified range.
• Replace control board: If the thermistor is good but the compressor runs excessively and temperature remains too low, replace the main control board.
