Possible Causes
Failed NTC sensor in upper zone, Failed NTC sensor in lower zone, Wiring harness damage between zones and PCB, Faulty multi-channel sensor input on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the dual-zone wine cooler before removing interior panels.
- Identify affected zone: Compare displayed temperatures and actual bottle temperatures in each zone to determine which zone is misreading.
- Access zone sensor: Remove shelves and inner panel for the affected zone to locate the NTC sensor on the wall or evaporator cover.
- Inspect and test sensor: Check for physical damage and measure resistance at known temperatures. Replace if readings are out of range.
- Check harness to PCB: Follow the sensor cable to the main board, ensuring no pinched or broken sections and that the connector is secure.
- Replace sensor: Fit a new Grundig zone NTC temperature sensor for the faulty zone.
- Board diagnosis: If both sensors test correctly but E11 persists, the multi-channel sensor input on the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
